Ella Kohn (born 1990) is a filmmaker based in Tokyo and Chiang Mai.

Her short film Who Sank Your Ships?, screened at over 50 festivals worldwide. She holds an MA in Film Studies from Tisch (Tel Aviv) and is currently developing her first feature film “The Rabbi, The Veteran and The Captain” which has just been selected to LIM Less is More 2026 https://www.instagram.com/p/DSaOPQfDKOU/?img_index=5.

Ella tutors for the Talents Generator Factory, and has directed animated and documentary shorts across Asia. A passionate traveler, she’s often found filming from the back of a motorcycle.
